When can I make the ScooterCabs call?
ScooterCabs offices are open from 12 noon.
Bookings can be made from 8am until 3am, 7 days a week.
If the line is busy please leave a message on the ScooterCab answering machine and we'll get back to you.
Pre-booking your pickup is recommended. ScooterCabs are extremely busy after midnight, so we strongly advise a minimum of 2 hours notice for pickups after 10pm. An impromptu booking may require around 40 minutes of waiting time.
What Does It Cost?
ScooterCabs fees are only for Christchurch city service. Any services outside the city will have a higher call-out rate. ScooterCabs rates are designed to be significantly cheaper than a return taxi fare. Quotes are given at the time of booking and are determined with the latest route finding technology.
The standard fee is $20 for the first 3km, then $2 for every kilometer thereafter.
Waiting time incurs a fee of $1 for every minute.
Please give 1.5 hours notice for any amendments to the booking. All amendments are subject to availability.
Charges for cancellations:
1.5 hours or more before scheduled pickup – no charge
Less than 1.5 hours before pickup – $20
Less than 30 minutes before pickup – full cost of trip
