Did you know that having quality ovulation mucus could make the difference between conceiving in a few weeks and not being able to conceive for a year! It is possible to improve its quality naturally by increasing intake of certain vitamins and herbal medication.

What does Cervical Mucus do?

Ovulation mucus is a crucial part of conception. It is a substance which is produced during a woman’s regular monthly cycle and is released into the vagina. It is designed to protect sperm from the acidic content of the vagina.

The cervical mucus’ role is to neutralise this acid. Furthermore, this mucus helps the sperm travel up the fallopian tubes and into the uterus to find an egg. If that wasn’t enough, the mucus will be able to detect sperm which are defective or abnormal and slow them down. This increases the chances of a healthy baby.

It is not present immediately after your period occurs, or for the 3 to 5 days after it. Hence it is extremely difficult to conceive in this time.

How to Detect When You Can get Pregnant using Ovulation Mucus

You can find your most fertile period of the month by checking your cervical mucus. A week after your period you will notice that a small amount of mucus will build up. It will range in color and consistency and at this time there will be little chance of conception.

About 10 days after your period leading up to ovulation, mucus will increase in quantity and consistency. It will become moist and sticky and should have the same texture and appearance as egg white.

To check this simply insert a finger into your vagina and move it in circular motions close to the cervix. Check the color and consistency of it and see if it matches my description. This is when you are most likely to conceive!

If you find that your ovulation mucus is not matching the quality or description I’ve described and you have had trouble conceiving for a while, it is worth considering taking herbal medication and vitamin supplements.

Popping herpes blisters occur when herpes blisters erupt. Herpes blisters are caused by the HSV or herpes simplex virus. This virus is of two categories – HSV-1 and HSV-2. Type 1 causes mouth sores and on the lip area. Genital herpes is caused by the type 2 virus. It is very important that you treat herpes as soon as outbreaks occur to avoid scarring, pain, and even certain complications.

Once you get the virus, it will not leave your body but it will remain dormant until it is triggered once more. You must be aware that herpes is very contagious and you can transmit the infection through mucous, saliva, and skin. Even a herpes blister can be transmitted easily and it can infect many individuals.

Herpes blisters are primarily due to the type 1 virus. Cold sores are also caused by such virus. The infection can happen at any age range and very young kids are more prone to it. Previous herpes sufferers can already tell if an outbreak will occur because they are already familiar with the signs like numbness, tingling sensations, and itching. First time infected individuals are not familiar with such signs or symptoms and so it would a great help if they know some useful information regarding this contagious condition.

When the herpes blisters erupt, you can feel severe pain. But don’t worry because healing will begin soon. As days pass, you will notice the blisters becoming less noticeable and smaller. When the blisters turn to gray ulcers, scabbing will develop and once these scabs dry off, healing is completed.

During the popping of herpes blisters, you must keep your body hydrated at all times. Blisters found on the mouth and lip areas can be easily treated using natural remedies like herbs. To shorten the outbreaks, gargle a baking soda wash and increase your vitamin C intake. To prevent spreading of the blisters, you have to wash your hands thoroughly especially if you’re able to touch the affected area.

Herpes blisters can also develop in the genital area. The virus responsible for such outbreaks is the HSV-2. Sexually active individuals are more prone to this kind of infection. Before the outbreak appears, the infected person will usually feel itching, tenderness, and pain. In men, the herpes blisters will typically appear on their penis while in women, the herpes blisters appear on the cervix and vaginal area. Severe outbreaks can even cause sores on the buttocks and thighs.

The healing process varies from one person to another. If you want to shorten the length of the outbreaks, you can ask your doctor about anti viral medicines and if you want, you can also incorporate chemical free and natural products like healing herbs. You can’t cure herpes blisters but you can control the outbreaks and kill the pain.

There are also topical applications available in the market which usually contain herbal extracts and these are quite effective in treating popping herpes blisters.

Educate yourself about popping herpes blisters especially if you’re not infected with the virus. That way, you can prevent or avoid herpes. By consulting a doctor, you can effectively treat the infection and minimize the outbreak impacts. Seek medical advice if you feel any of the signs of herpes blisters. Don’t wait until the outbreaks show up; treat them as soon as you feel the herpes signs.

A few weeks ago I went with my friends to see an air show. The schedule was packed with acrobatics and many types of planes. The highlight of the show was the blue angles with their jets doing dangerous routines. I took my camera hoping to capture some good digital memories of that show.

I took my digital SLR camera to the air show. I put it in my special camera bag alongside an extra battery and lenses. I used an eight mega pixels DSLR with a 100-300mm zoon lenses.

I decided to shoot as many photos as I could knowing from my experience that in such cases the rule of big numbers works very well – shoot as many photos as you can and you might be able to find a few photos which are really unique. So when the airplanes started to fly around I pointed my camera at them and from that point on I watched most of the air show through my camera’s viewfinder.

I set my camera to automatic continuous focus. I had my finger holding the shutter button half way down most of the time while I am moving the camera to track those fast flying airplanes. I could hear the camera’s motors working hard moving the optical components in the lens back and forth to keep the focus right. I also set the camera to burst mode so whenever I decided the composition was worth shooting a photo it actually shot a fast sequence of four photos. The idea behind that was first to get more photos to choose from – with fast flying planes these four photos were really different from each other – and second to maybe be able to capture some motion in a sequence of photos.

As time passed my hands got tired from holding the camera and my stable grip was not as stable anymore. Unfortunately I did not bring a tripod – and probably I would have not used it even if I had it since it is hard to track airplanes flying above using one especially when you are with thousands of people walking around you. When I looked at the photos that evening I saw the results of my tired grip – the later digital photos were not as sharp and steady as the earlier ones.

When I saw the results of my work my reaction was to go and get those fancy lenses with an image stabilizer built-in them. There are two types of image stabilizer one that moves the sensor and one that actually uses gyroscopes in the lens to move a floating optical element that compensates for shakings. The latter is more expensive and provides better results. I saw some people walking around with the Canon image stabilizing zoom lens I am not sure how effective it was for them but it sure did look impressive.

There are also drawbacks to using image stabilizers and actually some of these drawbacks are very relevant to my air show photo shooting. Moving the camera erratically to track an acrobatic airplane can confuse the image stabilizer that can detect that movement as being unwanted shakings and try to compensate for it. If I had an image stabilizer I would have had to use different practices when shooting my photos like trying to pan the camera on one axis and at a more or less constant speed.

Overall I was able to choose some great photos of airplanes flying around doing acrobatics very close to each other, airplanes with some birds flying in what seems to be in the photo as very close proximity and other digital photos of airplanes in different situations. These will serve as good memories of that air show and as a lesson for getting better equipped in my next air show digital photo shooting.
