As we mentioned in other articles, endometriosis growing somewhere else other than the endometrium also reacts to hormonal signals of the monthly menstrual cycle by building up tissue, breaking it, and eliminating it through the menstrual period. As we know nutritional supplements play a very important role in some culture in treating all kind of diseases. In this article, we will discuss how Vitamin B12 helps to treat endometriosis.
I. Definition
Vitamin B12 is a water soluble vitamin and a member of vitamin B complex. It plays an important role in treating women with endometriosis, such as reducing symptoms of endometriosis during menstrual cycle, maintaining protein and fat metabolism, avoiding iron deficiency, etc.
II. Endometriosis and vitamin B12
1. Anemia
Women with endometriosis are found to have low levels of vitamin B12 during menstrual cycle for what ever reason. Deficiency of Vitamin B12 deceases the production of red blood cell in the blood stream causing depletion of levels of iron in the blood leading to anemia.
2. Nervous system
Vitamin B12 is vital for protein and fat synthesis that helps to strengthen the function of nervous system resulting in lessening the nervous tension such as irritation, loss of memory, depression and mood swing.
3. Insomnia and fatigue
Besides helping in protein and fat synthesis, vitamin B12 also play an important role in carbohydrate metabolism that helps to provide energy for our body function and aids in insomnia and fatigue.
4. Immune system
Liver required vitamin B12 to function properly, deficiency of vitamin B12 causes enlarged liver resulting in decreasing the function of liver in fighting against environment toxins leading to high levels of bad estrogen in the body resulting in menstrual cramps for women with endometriosis.
5. Cell abnormality
Vitamin B12 is vital for the synthesis of DNA. Deficiency of vitamin B12 increases the risk of abnormal cell growth in the body such as endometrial cells growing somewhere else in the abdomen.

My research has led me deep into a scary world that has made me believe that the dog food industry is responsible for much more than seizures in dogs. Think about it.. how many dogs do you know that have died from human sounding diseases like cancer? Why do you think that is?
My research has uncovered the fact that most dog foods contain 6 or more deadly chemicals that have been banned from human foods because they cause:
Kidney cancer
Bladder cancer
Skin cancer
Stomach cancer
Spleen cancer
Leukemia
Liver dysfunction
Major organ failure
Immune system collapse
Severe allergic reactions
Birth Defects
Blindness
Chronic Diarrhea
Hair Loss and
Behavior problems
Does that make anyone else as mad as it does me? Why does an industry that makes millions off the fact that you love your dog use chemicals that are proven to cause cancer in their product? What are they thinking… let me guess PROFIT FIRST!
Evidently these people have never stood beside a 10 year old yellow lab in the vets’ office while the vet administers the shot that takes her away from us forever, because there is nothing more that can be done for her cancer. They don’t know that feeling in the pit of our stomach when we feel and hear that last breath she took while looking at me with those loving eyes.
They evidently never took that twenty minute ride back home like we did wiping tears from our eyes so that we can stay on the road and trying to continuously pet her still warm body in the back seat. They probably never had to dig a grave in the back yard like we did with tears poring out of our eyes and snot running from our noses.
If they did any of this just once there is no way they could knowingly continue to poison our pets like they do, but I don’t think they will change.
I learned long ago there is only one person I have control over changing and that’s ME… if I want to find a solution for Copper’s seizures then I am going to have to change what I know is bad in his life. If I want both my dogs to live longer healthier lives I am the one that must change how I care for my dogs.
I will continue my research, but what I found so far about the pet food industry just scares me to death and once you read all the facts I think you will agree we need to learn how to feed our dogs independently of purchasing manufactured dog food.
I need “a breath of fresh air” we’ll often say. It’s more than just taking a break – that “clean air” rejuvenates our respiratory system. We yearn for the purity of crisp forest air. Air purifiers help you achieve this in your home and office.
Add to this that most of us spend as much as 90% of our time indoors. Every day we breathe in natural air borne pollutants such as tobacco smoke, pet dander, dust, mold, mildew and pollen. Add the chemical pollutants from common household cleaners, wallpaper, carpeting and your house could be toxic. Next thing your respiratory system is irritated, sinus or allergies aggravated and perhaps asthma attacks are triggered.
Here are the five most popular air purifiers. This will help you find a good purifier and cut through the marketing baloney
#1 IQAir HealthPro and the IQAir HealthPro Plus is one of the world’s most advanced air cleaners. It is the only residential air cleaner to use HyperHEPA technology that is used in modern medical laboratories. This means these purifiers remove more pollution than conventional air cleaners. Germany’s consumer foundation rated the IQAir HealthPro Plus the most effective for allergy sufferers. It’s expensive but then it covers double the area of most other air cleaners. Plus it has an excellent warranty of 5 years.
#2 Honeywell Enviracaire 50250 Air Purifier is a compact unit perfect for just one-room or apartment dwellers. It has an activated charcoal prefilter that reduces odors from tobacco smoke, cooking, nursery, pet and plant odors. However, it is rather loud so make sure you can live with the noise. Highly affordable but check out the filter replacement price.
#3 Whirlpool Whispure 450 Air Purifier won’t disturb your sleep. Its highly energy efficient using about the same wattage as a light bulb. Make sure you check its dimensions, as it’s a larger unit compared with other brands.
#4 Alen A350 Air Purifier has great performance and is affordable, Perfect for a single room or office. The color d
1. NFL Quarterback – Peyton Manning, Colts
This is a no brainer. If this review was based solely on athletic ability, Manning wouldn?t be number one. But we are talking about all around quarterback and there is no one that compares to Manning. He is the smartest quarterback, one of the most precise quarterback, and easily one of the best quarterbacks to come around in a while. Look for Peyton to challenge his own TD record again this year.
2. NFL Quarterback – Tom Brady, Patriots
Again, not the most athletic quarterback in the league but one of the smartest. This guy knows how to win. He has three super bowl rings to prove it. May not always have the big numbers like other quarterbacks like Manning or Favre, but it’s hard to go against a guy who knows how to win. When you have a quarterback that?s a proven winner, the confidence of the entire team goes up. Brady, just like Manning, makes his team that much better.
3. NFL Quarterback – Daunte Culpepper, Vikings
The new age quarterback of the NFL: can beat you with his arm and legs. Had a great year last year and will only get better this year. A very accurate quarterback who is prone to make a few mistakes but with all the big plays he makes it up in a big way. Even with the loss of Moss, Culpepper?s numbers will increase from last year. Look for Culpepper to have another great year and help the Vikings be contenders.
4. NFL Quarterback – Donovan McNabb, Eagles
Finally, McNabb got the monkey off his back and got his team past the NFC championship to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, the Eagles were beat by Brady and the Patriots. Now, McNabb knows how to win and look for him to get better. With the addition of Owens last year, McNabb was able to open up the arsenal and throw deep. McNabb is another one of those new age quarterbacks who can beat you many different ways. The Eagles will contend again this year and look for McNabb to have another superb year.
5. NFL Quarterback – Brett Favre, Packers
Easily one of the best quarterbacks ever to play the game. This man has a cannon for an arm and makes some hard passes look easy. Of course, he is a risk taker and does make some mistakes but you can always count on him in the clutch. He is one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the league right now and it?s hard to keep him off the list. Look for yet another solid year for Favre.
The Rest:
Michael Vick, Falcons
Still more of a running back than a quarterback. One more year playing and he?ll be a top 3 QB.
Byron Leftwich, Jaguars
Still learning the ropes of a NFL quarterback but may be one of the strongest quarterbacks in the league.
Matt Hasselbeck, Seahawks
Needs to regain his confidence he had from 2 years ago. If he does, the Seahawks will contend
Drew Brees, Chargers
Needs to show that last year wasn?t a fluke. If he does, the Chargers will be for real again

Leukemia literally means ‘many white cells in the blood’. The white cells are part of the body’s immune system, and there are several sub-groups of white cells that have different sorts of roles in recognizing and dealing with ‘invaders’ such as bacteria and viruses as well as other types of foreign protein. All of the blood cells originate in the bone marrow and leukaemia which is also known as blood cancer is a disease where the bone marrow produces large numbers of abnormal white cells. This means that the normal marrow is pushed into smaller and smaller areas. This results in fewer normal cells being produced and gives rise to some of the symptoms. It is possible to have chronic leukemia for months or even years without knowing it. The symptoms are varied, but many people notice different symptoms like tiredness, bruising easily (often without having had any blow or fall), repeated infections, enlarged lymph glands, weight loss, night sweats, fever. Leukemia is actually a very tricky disease that may be very hard to diagnose at early stages, but there are certain cautionary measures that can be undertaken to prevent the disease. These measures will also have to do with changes in one’s lifestyle. People are actually advised to avoid exposing themselves to herbicides, insecticides and other chemicals to reduce the risks of contacting the disease.
Medics have also argued that Leukemia, in some cases, may be in the genes of a particular bloodline. If there is a history of Leukemia in one’s lineage, there is a high chance of striking a member of the same lineage. It is also necessary to see a doctor for check-up if one notices exaggerated weight loss. Medics also argue that people who exercise regularly have low chances of developing the leukemia.
Though prevention of Leukemia is hard, diet can contribute greatly to its appearance. Societies where junk and fatty foods are not in common have reduced chances of experiencing Leukemia prevalence. If a person has been experiencing some disorders of blood, chances are higher that he may also be at risk of contracting Leukemia. It is thus necessary that such a person seeks medical advice as early as possible.
Any chronic health condition may be very hard to bear, and most people have a problem when asked to see a doctor quite often, especially when they are not sick. Leukemia is a disease that Prevention from its penetration or adverse effects is possible, only when the condition is detected early.
Early detection of STDs is your first step in prevention and cure of the disease. The fastest way you can accurately detect STD infection is to have yourself tested in an STD clinic. If you are a sexually active person, especially engaging in sex with multiple partners you are at a very high risk of exposure to STDs. Whether you are feeling any symptoms of STDs or not, you should have yourself tested IMMEDIATELY!
To eliminate your fears about having yourself tested, this article serves to inform you of the basic and most common STD testing procedures. STD testing is not that complicated or expensive. Some tests will require you one or more return trips to the center for a series of examinations. STD Testing procedures will all depend on the type of infection that you have.
Here are some STD testing procedures that you should know. Actual STD tested is recommended according to the discretion of the health team.
Chlamydia
Chlamydia is a bacterial disease that shows more visible signs in women than in men. Since visible symptoms appear on the first to third week from exposure, you don’t have to wait for these symptoms to be visible. Initially a pelvic examination will be conducted by the health practitioner to see if there any visible signs of infection. In women, the bacteria causing Chlamydia infects the cervix and uterus. A cervical swab is inserted in the vagina to get samples of the mucous lining. This sample is sent to the laboratory for analysis and testing. If there are any genital discharges, these are also gathered and sent for laboratory testing. Mucous samples from the throat are also taken if the person engages in oral to genital sex.
Gonorrhea
Symptoms of this disease appear from the 2nd to the 30th day of exposure. They will immediately conduct a physical examination of the genitals and rectum where immediate signs appear. Urine samples will be gathered and sent to a laboratory for analysis. Discharge from the vagina or penis is also collected and tested if bacteria causing gonorrhea is present.
Hepatitis B
Although Hepatitis B sometimes does not show any symptoms, changes in the person’s outer appearance indicate the presence of the disease. They will conduct a physical examination if the skin or eyes have turned yellow. Stool and urine samples will be taken and tested for the presence of the virus. Dark urine and gray colored bowel movements are usually indicators of Hepatitis.
HIV
Since this disease do not show any severe symptoms until after 10 years, its initial flu like symptoms are always mistaken for the common fever. Flu like symptoms usually develops after 2 to 6 weeks of exposure to HIV infection. They will immediately check for symptoms of fever, headache, sore throat, fatigue, rash, and swollen lymph glands. For a more accurate diagnosis, an HIV antibody blood test is taken. Sometimes the infection takes 3 months to show more visible symptoms so a re-screening blood test should be taken again.
It is always best if you want to be a great football passer like Tony Romo to start young. You can always pick up those skills but it works better if you learn them early because it can be more difficult to change bad habits.
Tony Romo is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and has guided the Dallas Cowboys to another exciting season. Many people may ask themselves if they can grip and throw a football like Romo. It is good if you have large hands because it makes it easier to grip the ball.
Next you want to study the way Romo rotates his shoulder when he throws the ball. It is important that you rotate your shoulder so that you can get the momentum behind the ball. It makes it easier for you to throw the ball 30 to 40 years if your timing with this is good. So practice this to get better at rotating.
Next the grip is one of the most important things you can do. You want to use the laces and put your last three finger over the laces so that it feels comfortable. You may need to practice this so that you get the grip that feel best for your hand. There are some variations form quarterback to quarterback but most of them grip this way.
Finally if you are just starting to throw the football then it is always better to learn how to throw it correctly form the beginning. It is hard to change the way you throw it if you have been taught a bad grip then starting with a great grip form the beginning.
On that rainy day in September of 2001, I felt down, so I called the only person in the world who had made things better for me for the past two decades, my mother.
I began to rant about my problems, how my husband was never home, the house was a mess, the kids were fighting, looking back now, totally insignificant issues.
When I ended my pity party, I asked without any enthusiasm in my voice, “So how are you doing?”
Her response shattered my world. “I’ve got about 3 weeks to live”. And that was all she said. I asked endless questions, only to get the same response, to not worry about her, her salvation was assured and she was okay with it. The one piece of information I did get out of her was that she had advanced Multiple Myloma, a degenerative cancer of the spine.
I flew to my childhood home that night. She was unable to get up, even to go to the restroom. My father was exhausted, and could do no more. I refused to believe that she was leaving me so soon, so I consulted her physicians and got permission to bring her home to Florida with me.
Me and my sister scoured the phone books for oncologist. We were fortunate to find one of the best in the area only 8 miles from my home. He made her an appointment immediately.
To run the test, he had to hospitalize her. Confirming the diagnosis she had received in Kentucky, he gave us two options for her treatment. After she underwent radiation therapy for the spots on her back, we could put her on chemotherapy, or try a treatment that was not FDA approved, called Thalidomide. In her weakened state, I felt chemo would kill her before the cancer did, so we went with the 10 pills of this drug that had been removed from the market because it caused severe birth defects, and it had not been fully tested on cancer patients. The cost was over $5,000 a month, and with no FDA approval, we had to jump through hoops to get the medicine. But God was willing, and we got it.
After the first month, mom began to get her strength back. She was able to sit up in bed by herself, make it to the potty placed beside her bed, and eat. She ate so much she put on 20 pounds in 3 months! Not bad for a cancer patient.
When we began to see her improving so much, I finally worked up the courage to ask Dr. Ron what her prognosis was. He told me, very confidently and actually encouraged to be saying it, she had about 3 years.
Mom is still with me, and dad, and my kids, and my sisters and brother, and her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren, and who knows, if she gets any stronger, she may even see her great great grandchildren.
I’m counting on it.
2007 was a year with the usual dose of sporting scandals, involving the biggest names in the sport. 2008 doesn’t promise to be much better, with the first story only taking a week to break…
Jan 2008, and Marion Jones is sentenced to 6 months prison over her drug case.
She wasn’t jailed for the drug offences, but because she lied to federal investigators over the investigation. At her sentencing she pleaded with the judge to be ‘humane’ as she is the mother of 2 children. Come on Marion! Presumably you thought of your children when you set the example of lying to federal agents did you?
It’s a scandal to carry on in the nature of 2007 – big names who set seemingly great examples, not only taken to task about cheating, but lying about it to try and get away with it.
The Formula 1 motor racing team McLaren were caught receiving information about their rival’s car specifications. When confronted they denied it vigorously, before admitting it.
The New England Patriots American football team were caught filming their opponents to try and work out their tactics – vehement denials followed by sheepish admission.
Michael Vick was accused of being involved with dog fighting. Vehement denials followed by eventual admission.
Needless to say the Tour de France cycle race was riddled with drug failures as it seems to be every year.
The press are sometimes accused of being sensationalist, and for sure they are not slow to pounce on the meerest hint of scandal and explode it, but in all these cases, I think the publicity has been justified.
In all the cases, the press has been used to build the careers of the individuals and organisations, and in their privilidged positions, we are more than entitled to know when they cheat.
Cheating in sport lets everyone down, because in society it’s important for the health and mind lessons in teaches.
It would be nice to think that Marion Jones is the last case of 2008, but let’s face it, with it being an Olympic year, there are undoubtedly more scandals around the corner.
